Samsung finally got its act together and has been handing out Froyo like, um … froyo. Sixth months late, my little Captivate finally has its update. It wasn’t quite worth waiting for, but there is a huge difference in terms of speed and features (yay flash!) Add to that the new market website, and it’s been like playing with a new phone. I even bought my first paid app, iSyncr. The only thing I don’t understand is why google talk had to be active so it could validate the charge. Does anyone get that?

We used the updated GPS to get to and from Chris and Rae’s yesterday. The GPS still gets confused very easily. Thankfully, Bryan knew where he was going and didn’t listen to it the 12 times it said to get off 23N and then back on again. At least it might actually be slightly useful now as opposed to something I could never use at all before.

Rae made a delicious dinner of chicken parm followed by yummy chocolate ice cream cake :P We have leftovers and I kinda want to go eat them right now even though I just had breakfast and I’ll probably be eating out twice today with my parents.

I’m wearing my itty, bitty pedometer at&t gave us. For some reason, they think employees will use it and the two giant rubber bands they gave us to get fit and not just throw the stuff in the trash. Most people haven’t even picked up their envelopes from their mailboxes. It’s amazing the money they waste isn’t it? I’m using mine, but I’m probably already the healthiest employee they have.

We all got raises Friday too and were told what our bonuses will be. It’s pretty good, but my mood was soon spoiled by the news that the one last person left working with me on the NDR GUI is leaving at&t for Verizon! I told her she was a traitor. Can’t blame her though, Roy gave her some really awful work and the stuff she’ll be doing at Verizon sounds much more interesting. Yeah, so I blame Roy.

Would it be wrong to have the leftover cupcake for breakfast?

  1. A leftover cupcake may not be the healthiest of breakfast, but yeah sure got for it. It wouldn’t be the first time that I have had cake for breakfast lol.

I hope you get a good bonus! My work only offer £30 worth of store vouchers, whereas a few of my friends that work for different companies in the retail industry get 10% of their annual earnings.

  2. Haha, I’ve had cupcakes for breakfast before =P

Anyway, congrats on the raise and bonus!!! But sorry to hear that your coworker’s leaving you!!! =( I hate working by myself on something, because sometimes it can get hard, or really rushed, so it takes a toll on you. =/

  3. For breakfast, leftover cupcake isn’t a good idea. Maybe for morning tea. :) Have a better breakfast!

Since losing my phone I’ve thought about getting one that is not an iPhone… dun dun dun hello Android. I browsed the market recently and they have a lot of the apps that I had on my iPhone. Perhaps it won’t be so bad haha. Waiting out for the new Samsung phone… kind of hope it comes out soon.

My parents keep the pedometers that come in the cereal boxes for free or with magazines. It’s so silly to be honest!

  4. I didn’t have the cupcake for breakfast, I saved it for dessert after dinner :P
