Work’s been busy, non work’s been busy. This weekend was surprisingly quiet. I bought some bras and I’m cooking dinner. I’m productive.

We had the inspection for the house last week. It could have gone better. It actually didn’t go very well at all. Apparently this dude either did a lot of the work on the house himself or hired someone that didn’t know wtf they were doing. There’s a few thousand dollars worth of stuff that needs to be fixed NOW and several more thousand we’ll be fixing later. *sigh* At least there’s no flooding! I took pictures, but I don’t want to post them until we’re sure these people are going to either fix the stuff that needs to be fixed or give us money to fix ourselves. Once we’re 100% sure we will be getting this house, I will post pictures. I’m not actively stressed about it, but it could get very crazy very quickly.

Tomorrow I’m going to Rutgers to interview intern candidates :D Ah, a whole day without weblogic, sweet! Ruben asked me if I write about the RUBY people in my blog. I told him I do sometimes :P I don’t write much, but that’s because I’m smart.

I need to do another A Day in the Life, but I don’t know when. Would you guys rather read about another weekday or should I go for a weekend this time? Maybe I’ll do Easter :) That might be good actually. I’d have to either carry around my laptop, dig out my jornada or learn to type more quickly on my iTouch. Jornada would be easiest. Don’t know if I have a flash card for it. I’ll have to see…

  1. Yay for Day In The Life!!

I hope the house works out soon! I’m so excited for you guys! I can’t wait to see it. :)

  2. I hope that everything works out with the house. I noticed that a lot of people try to save money by attempting to fix up the homes themselves, when really, once they try and mess up, they’ll end up dishing out the extra money anyway. It’s not easy finding quality homeowners these days.

I’m looking forward to your Easter post! I’ve been blogging for some time and I’ve hardly ever read any Easter posts, it would be refreshing.

  3. Buying a house is stressful. I don’t know anyone who’s had a walk through where everything was just right. And closing on time — what’s that?! LOL … Once you’re done and through it all, it will be such a relief! Fingers crossed here, hoping for the best!

Definitely do another DIL!! Easter would be great! Lots of people pics :-) LOL

    1. true, but the inspector said it was the longest report he ever wrote for a townhouse, lol.

  5. Wow that sucks about your house. My SIL is going through the same thing with her house and she’s all fed up. Hope things work out!
