Back to the Grand Marquis
I got a call late Thursday afternoon from The Grand Marquis. I told John I hadn’t picked a venue yet, but they were too far out of our budget. He said they could work with me. *blink* … really? The price was already the lowest they quoted me and all the other places pretty much said they couldn’t go lower than their lowest, so I was quite surprised. I set up an appointment to come in to speak with them and spent the rest of the day jumping up and down.
They tweaked the menu ever so slightly such that it is still a thousand times better than all the other venues for only a slightly higher cost. And the venue is so much prettier and I love that they really care that the vegetarians get a nice entre as well. Oh, and they actually do have chateaubriand on the menu.
Bryan and I signed the contract and my mom gave the deposit. It’s a done deal. We officially have the dome room reserved for 1/3/2010! Yes, it’s one day after the day I wanted, but the 2nd wasn’t available and it’s cheaper anyway. It’s still on that same holiday weekend, so those benefits are still there.
It’s really happening. I’m getting my dream wedding to my dream guy! *squee!*

Frickin amazingly beautiful. So exciting!
Oh my God! So pretty! It really is a dream wedding.
If Matt and I get married one day our wedding will most likely be done on a budget of like 5000 dollars (I’ll be poor as a teacher and even though he makes decent money he has his house and other bills so yeah, no monies for fancy) so it’s gonna be pretty low key.
The place looks amazing. The vegetarian entre’ is actually going to be good? Normally people don’t think about the veggies. Every time my sister goes to a dinner with a set list their vegetarian entre’ is horrible.
Oh. My. GOD!! That is such a GREAT place! WOW!!!! Congratulations, Lissy! LUCKY YOU!!!!! LOL, now I’m jealous… =’( Hehe…
What an awesome place to get married! It’s so pretty!
That is so awesome! Congrats!
That dome is absolutely gorgeous!
