Yesterday I was walking up the stairs to my office and my foot slipped. My head was headed straight for the edge of the top step. Five years ago, best case, this would have ended in great pain. Lucky me, my left hand got to the step first, landed at a good angle and I was able to hold up all my body weight with the one arm. It felt good.<\/p>\n

Maryam came back to work yesterday with pictures of her adorable little baby :) She’s bringing in food tomorrow to celebrate! She brings the best food.<\/p>\n

Back tracking to the weekend, we are officially homeowners! We actually didn’t know if we were closing or not until about two hours before we did. The bank was super, super slow and completely disorganized. It was the most frustrating week of my life. But, it had a happy ending. We closed in time to get our interest rate and we started moving stuff in last weekend. We cleaned out our closets and brought over movies and CDs, stuff like that. The apartment looks like a complete disaster and the house still looks bare, but we were absolutely exhausted by Sunday night. We’re getting a water heater tomorrow and the electrical and stuff fixed this Saturday, all thanks to Bryan’s parents who are awesome, awesome people btw. Hopefully we’ll be living there real soon :) If anyone knows any good movers in the central NJ area, let me know.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
