There be spoilers ahead: <\/p>\n
I thought for sure when Locke woke up in the hospital he’d be like, it worked! I’m the smoke monster! I’m here to spread evil! And then like everyone would have to stop him and there’d be destruction and awesomeness.<\/p>\n
But no. No, there was no destruction, there was no great battle. The smoke monster dies and that’s it. No questions are answered, nothing interesting happens after that. A bunch of them get off the island and it doesn’t even matter that they do because as it turns out, the island is a fine and dandy place to be. Jack gets out of the cave, but dies anyway. Hurley is stuck on the island with Ben and no fast food places. And we find out the sideways world is some sort of purgatory? WTF kind of an ending is that???? What about Daniel and his scientific reasoning about alternate dimensions? What about his mommy telling Desmond he wasn’t ready yet? Because she wanted more time with her son? That doesn’t make any sense! Really. None! It’s like they sat down and plotted the worst possible way to end the show. I got a little excited when Jack saw his dad, I thought, oh, maybe they’ll do something cool. Nope, it’s the, they’re all dead plot, the plot they swore they weren’t using at the beginning of the show. Yeah, because they wanted to save it for the end in case they couldn’t think of a worse way to end it.<\/p>\n
I realize they wanted to make what happened on the island matter. It’d be bad if they killed Jin and Sun and then were like, oh, it’s OK, they’re actually alive in this alternate universe. OK, the island matters, but now nothing in the sideways world matters! Isn’t that just as bad? Why couldn’t it have been a decision? Stick with the sideways world, the world is destroyed because of sad day monster, go back to the island world, everyone lives, but your lives aren’t as perfect. That would have made sense. The whole, you made up this world to meet each other again is just cheap and lazy.<\/p>\n
I wouldn’t have minded if it fit with the rest of the show, but it doesn’t. They literally blew up the bomb and killed Juliet for nothing. It worked? It didn’t work! You’re DEAD!<\/p>\n
I’m just going to pretend this whole season never happened. And you know what, it doesn’t matter because other than Richard’s episode, they didn’t answer anything! Yup. Show ended when the bomb exploded, the plane never crashed and everyone lived happily ever after. THE END.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
