While I feel lucky that we didn’t buy a house with a driveway and that Bryan and I get to work from home when it snows, I am officially sick of the snow. I am tired of digging my car out, I’m tired of getting salt on my pretty black coat, I am tired of carefully maneuvering on the walkways so I don’t fall and break my neck, I am tired of parking on a giant block of ice. Just stop! Stop snowing!
Unfortunately it’s only January and according to weather.com, we get 57% of our snow in the second half of winter. Though Bryan has a nicer way of looking at it, “maybe I’ll get more days to stay home and hug you.” Aint he sweet. It is nice to work from home every now and then, especially if Bryan’s there. I do get more work done I think in spite of waiting about 30 seconds longer for everything to load. The day seems longer though without the commute and the interruptions. I miss my friends. I wouldn’t want to do it all the time.
My Subaru from hell needs another new wheel bearing and a new battery. That’s another $600. Still has the check engine issue too. That one I’m waiting until the Spring to fix. Next week I’m taking my car up to the place by my parents because Bryan works late and there’s just too much snow to be walking back and forth to the mechanic.
Tonight we’re going to Bryan’s parents’ to have dinner with his aunt. His mom made ice cream with the ice cream maker we got them :D I ate junk on Wednesday too, but I figure the shoveling offset some of that.
Speaking of ice cream, any suggestions on food or activities for our Superbowl party?

Sorry to hear about your car. =( I know how it feels though, the car we had used to break down all the time… It was crazy… I hope this is the last of it for this year at least!!
I hate the snow also. I see a lot of people struggling to get their cars out and even driving.
We don’t really celebrate the Superbowl here or anything… no ideas there, sorry! I hope the snow clears up though. That’s really sweet of Bryan to say. I think that if it snowed in Australia I’d be happy about getting to hug James more often. :P
I hope you get your car fixed. :) I used to want snow around my house but I can see how bad it gets. D;
I don’t see snow in Australia, only in the mountains.
We don’t celebrate the superbowl because we don’t have it but when it comes to Football finals here, people are opening the beer and kicking back behind the BBQ.
Or maybe you can totally go cliche with the beer and buffalo wings. Re-enact How I Met your Mother :D
