Thanks for all the comments on the last post. I can’t promise we’ll wait until I’m ready, only because I’m pretty sure I’ll NEVER be ready, lol. Readier maybe :P I can set a random price, um, when we have $50,000 in the bank. Yup, there we go. Maybe I’ll just wait until Carolyn or Rachelle has a baby :D No pressure!

Saturday was quite the adventure. I woke up with a sore throat. I thought great, so much for karaoke. I decided to exercise and then see if I felt better or worse after. My condition seemed to improve, so I drove on over to Julia’s and get this, my GPS actually got me there without any wrong turns. We headed into the city with her boyfriend, Jay, for some dim sum at Jing Fong. Luckily we were able to get a table and eat a bit without the rest of our part, who of course, were late. People came by with food on carts and checked off when we took something. Fun experience.

After our tummies were full, it was karaoke time at Duet 35. It was a nice place. We got a big room and sang for four hours. No one believed I had a sore throat :D I mostly stuck to show tunes, but I did a little Shania and Lady Gaga too. While we were there I got a call from the theater people. I auditioned for Babes in Toyland earlier in the week and had a callback for the lead! I know, right??? Obviously I didn’t get the lead, but I was cast as Little Miss Muffet. I went back in the room hopping up and down. My character actually has a name! So exciting.

We had dinner at this Korean bbq place with yummy food but rude waiters. We may have miscalculated the tip and got yelled at for 20 minutes. It’s OK for them to say something, but they went about it all wrong. Really, that’s how you get a better tip out of your customers, yelling at them? I really wish we would just do like Europe and include tip in the bill. Wouldn’t that make life much easier? We had dessert at the Ben and Jerry’s in Macy’s. I had pumpkin pie flavored ice cream and it was delicious.

We departed the city and I drove to my parents’ house from Julia’s. My GPS wasn’t as helpful this time. It had me circle the block twice before it decided which direction I should go. Then it told me to turn too soon and I ended up circling the block again. Once I finally made it onto whatever road I was supposed to be on, it told me “exit left in two miles.” So I make my way over into the left lane which wasn’t exactly easy, drive for a couple miles and then it says, “exit right in two miles.” You frelling piece of- Luckily that exit was the parkway and I was able to figure it out from there.

Sunday, I went apple picking with Rachi and Chris. So did the rest of Bergen County. There weren’t too many apples left to pick, but we managed to fill our bags and now I don’t have to buy apples for a while :)

  1. Was that your first time eating dim sum? I love dim sum, LOL.

Hehe, congrats on Little Miss Muffet! :)

Geez, what kind of GPS do you have?! I thought this one app on the iPhone was bad, I think your’s probably took the prize… Haha..

  2. I’ve never thought much about tips they are included in all the bills. I love dim sum, anyway.

And congrats on getting the role! :)

  3. You lead such an exciting life! Your trip sounds super fun. :) Good luck with the on-going kids decision. It will never be easy! Congrats on the role, too!!! That must be super exciting!

  4. My mum hates when people use GPS so much that they depend on it. She was following my cousin in our car even though she knew the general way, and she kept going around in circles and a really ridiculous route. XD

    Congratulations on getting a call back! :D :D I think that’s fantastic.

I don’t like rude waiters at all. I have come across quite a few of those and been less than pleased. ._.

  5. Yay congratulations for getting a part in the play! That’s awesome! :)
I think it’s pretty funny you were doing karaoke at the time you got the call, hehe!

  6. Congratulations on your role as Little Miss Muffet! How awesome! I’d be way too nervous to audition for a role. I feel like it’s so nervewracking, lol. Also, Karaoke is so much fun. I’ve only done it a few times myself, but we go to a bar every week to hang out and watch people sing. Some people are pretty talented!
