I can’t believe I just wrote this whole entry and lost it all. What happened to my auto save????

What I was witting about was digg.com. What the articles that make the front page say about the diggers. This is what I have learned about these people so far:

They are mostly young males who like to play video games and desperately want more Firefly (yay Firefly). They are liberal atheists. They hate Rudy Giuliani and Bush with a passion and they love Ron Paul.

Hating Bush I can understand. I never liked him. The first time he was running, I thought he looked evil and stupid and that was a really bad combination. Why people voted for him instead of Al Gore, is beyond me. Oh wait, that’s right, the majority did vote for Al Gore, but I did enough ranting about that when it happened seven years ago.

What I don’t understand is what all these Giuliani haters are afraid of. He’s not going to win. Unless the majority of Republicans in this country suddenly decide they’re OK with abortion and letting gay people get married, it’s not going to happen. And he really isn’t, oh yeah, ok, now it saves my draft. Anyway, he really isn’t that bad. I mean, they make him out to be worse than Bush. Impossible! And OK, he talks about 9/11 a lot, but if that was the only thing people knew you for, you’d talk a lot about it too.

Then there’s the army of Ron Paul supporters. You gotta love these people, they actually think they can get the man elected. Sadly, 99% of the country, doesn’t even know what digg is. Amazingly Ron Paul has raised a lot of money considering most people have never heard of him. His fans are dedicated. And with good reason. He’s the only one interested in changing the country for the better. Do I agree with how he thinks we should do it, no, but his heart’s in the right place. He just expects too much from people. People are stupid, you can’t have them taking care of themselves, I mean, these are the same people who elected Bush… twice. Seriously though, he wants to just take the federal government out of everything and after living the way we have for so long, people couldn’t deal with that much change.

He’s all for the constitution, that’s cool, to an extent, but the thing is, it was written like a long time ago. The country is completely different now, it may not be for the better, but you can’t just go and take things away from people because a document says they shouldn’t have had them in the first place. Some of that stuff is pretty good. Like I said in my previous post, I don’t mind paying taxes if the money goes to help people.

This is a video that was on the digg front page this morning: “Can We All Stop Pretending to Love Ron Paul”. It’s a good video, you should watch.
