Now skiing, that’s good exercise. Too bad I don’t ski. Bryan does though and he had a great time this week. Bryan’s dad and step-mom live out here so we come out every couple years to visit and so Bryan can ski. I tried it once, that was enough for me. I don’t like the cold, I don’t like heights, not my thing.

Actually, it was so cold here Monday and Tuesday, I didn’t even leave the house. It got down to like -30F the other night. Cold.

I did read a book this week. I know, right! The first one I read in like three years. It wasn’t a very deep book. One for the Money, a silly little story about a Jersey girl, that becomes a bounty hunter. I enjoyed it. I should read more often. My problem is my short attention span.

Yesterday was the Ullr Parade. That was entertaining and I learned my new coat is sufficiently warm. I spent a lot of time playing with the puppies. I exercised every day this week plus I did some of my favorite form of cardio: shopping. We went out tonight and bought a really cute clock and this great sweat shirt, both of which I need to take pictures of. I do have pictures of things we didn’t buy though!

  1. From your profile picture, I thought it was Shamu, but I was like “you can’t be a Sea World”. LOL.

I HATE the cold, and when it gets down to the low 60s, I’m already starting to die, so I don’t think I’d be able to handle it in Colorado, or the snow. Haha.

  2. I’ve read quite a few of the Stephanie Plum books – you’re right, they’re a light fun read, especially if you’re from Jersey! I burned out with them though.

See you in a few hours!

  3. I love skiing! I live in Australia, barely any snow… only in the mountains. So I haven’t skied a lot in my life but I absolutely love it. I am generally afraid of heights too so I’m not daring. My friends and I went skiing on a camp ages ago, and they were going from left to right, left to right… I just loved going straight down and that was good for me.

I haven’t been reading much lately – the internet takes up too much hobby time! I did read two books so far this year, trust me I feel good about that and I’m sure you feel great about the book you read. XD

Shopping is great! It kind of is some form of exercising, you’re moving, walking, carrying bags. Such a typical girl thing!

  4. shit, i have been missing all your cool posts. =/ sorry. >_< i can't believe people go skiing for a vacation.. that sounds like a lot of work. lmao rick would go crazy for the chicken hat. your hubby's jacket looks cool too. a story about a joyzee gerl, hahaha its always a story a bout a jersey girl. ^_^

  5. I’m not a fan of cold, heights, or snow either. Obviously, I live in the perfect place for that (Northeasten US, LOL!). I do give you kudos for trying to ski though. I’d watch from the cabin drinking hot chocolate. Good job with your working out. I’ve been staying on top of it as well. It’s hard, but you feel so much better when you work out.
