I was very bad on Saturday.
For breakfast, my parents and I went to our usual place and I got a breakfast burrito. It was probably about the healthiest thing on the menu, but still high in calories because of the eggs.
For lunch I shared a small chicken parm pizza with Rachie. And since that was so cheap, I got a sundae for dessert too. I didn’t eat all of it though. Like that makes it better.
For dinner I had a very small plate of sushi.
Then I went out for dinner again with my friends where I ordered a drink and fried bananas.
There was a lot of walking, so it wasn’t all bad. Rachie and I shopped. We bought the same pair of boots because they’re cute and comfy and they were very on sale.
Sunday I did much better. Healthy breakfast and lunch and then I made a healthy dinner for my parents.
Today I’m still making up for Saturday. I needed to get a little creative since I didn’t have a meal to take for lunch. I had some bread my dad gave me, some spinach, a little hummus left and some carrots. I was going to use the apple for breakfast, but instead I only used a little of the apple in my oatmeal. I added a banana, pumpkin, yogurt, almond milk, cinnamon, peanut butter, a little cocoa powder and vanilla extract and left that in the fridge for some very tastey overnight oats. Then I took the rest of the food and made a sandwich/salad. I had some salad dressing too, but I ended up not using it. Hummus is amazing like that. I just hope it’s enough food to get me through ’till snack time.

Hummus is amazing. I absolutely love all the different ways you can eat and enjoy it. I wouldn’t beat yourself up about Saturday. You have to live, and treat yourself sometimes. I am all for treating yourself every now and then. The important thing is that you went right back on track on Sunday morning and didn’t just keep eating whatever you wanted, right? Your oatmeal sounds delicious! I’ve never thought to add so many different things to it!
every now and then, yes, but it’s become a habit with me :(
It’s amazing how much you get to eat when you eat healthier and how much less you get to eat when you choose the things that aren’t as healthy.
I made myself an egg white omelet w/cheese and a cup of green beans on the side and canned pears that I drained all the juice from the can for dessert and all of that was only 9 points and filled me up much more than an unhealthy meal would have.
that lunch kept me full all afternoon yesterday. I had a much bigger one today that consisted of mostly rice, salsa, cheese and chicken and I’m hungry again already :D
I am glad that you managed to pull back you healthy eating after having a bad day. I get so disheartened if I am dieting and have a bad day, I tend to binge so badly and get it all out of my system in that day and then not eat a thing the next day. Not healthy in the slightest, therefore I have to be particularly careful to avoid these diet failing days.
Sometimes we all go back to our bad habits after eating healthy – it happens. We just have to remember that a treat every once in a while is OK, as long as we don’t do it all the time. At least you had some sushi. ;) And no one can resist a good burrito! :D
i like your boots. :)
btw, it’s a really amazing feeling when you get to prepare your own lunch with healthy food. :)
