Speaking of how horrible high school is, I had another nightmare the other night. No calculus this time. Actually, in the dream, I knew I graduated college, but I was taking HS classes for some reason.

The dream started out as usual, I’m late to school, this time I have a note. I don’t know what day in the rotation it is, so I don”t know what class to go to. I go to physics. It’s the last day of the semester and I realize I’ve only been to one or two technology and art classes because I’m always late. Why should I be on time, I graduated already? I see my technology teacher and he says I should be able to complete the final assignment to pass. I go to talk to my art teacher to ask her to let me make up the assignments so I don’t fail. I don’t get to talk to her though, she’s upset because a psychic told her she was going to die.

I graduated five years ago, you think I would stop having these dreams. I’m always late, usually it’s my calc classes I’ve missed due to choir rehearsals and I have to take the final and I don’t know any of the material. A lot of the time, it’s art classes too and I’m weeks behind in assignments. I never took art in high school. I always make it to physics. Sometimes I’m auditioning for a solo, and don’t get it. Sometimes we have rehearsal for the play. I usually carry around my spanish books.

I wake up thinking I have an exam to study for or homework to do. The best part about these dreams, knowing I don’t.

Why was high school so traumatizing? Will I ever stop having this dreams so frequently? I like the dreams I have about Bryan much better. I want more of those :-/

We went to see his parents yesterday and they treated us to dinner at PF Chang’s. Sooooooooo good. I had the ground chicken with eggplant, I highly recommend it. And banana spring rolls, yummmmm.

Today we saw WALL-E :D Cutest movie ever!

  1. Weird about the high school dreams. I’ve never dreamt about anything from back in high school. Hmm, weird…

But wow, PF Changs? I’d LOVE to go there one day! I’m glad that you had a great dinner! And you had a nice time watching Wall-e! Too bad I probably won’t be able to watch it in theatres… ='(

Wow, and the food you ate at PF Changs… I’ve never heard of those… It sounds kinf of too weird for me. LOL, I don’t eat eggplant, and the banana spring rolls? Sounds too weird for me. LOL.

  2. I still get dreams about high school at times. Even though my high school years weren’t traumatising — actually to come to think of it, my first year of high school was.. kinda — I still get some dreams about that period of my life, and they’re more often than not, the unpleasant ones. I have yet to dream about college in that same twistedly nostalgic manner, though, like your title implies, will probably happen after a long chunk of time.

Ground chicken with eggplant. Yum. I think there’s a similar dish here in Singapore. Glad you had a good time meeting up with Bryan’s parents.

  3. The high school dreams eventually slow, I promise. I had them for years later but they finally have ceased into almost non-existant. I’m not sure if they will ever stop completely. It’s such a big part of life that it nestles in your brain and stays there, no matter if high school was a good or bad experience.

I absolutely love your layout. Would you be too entirely offended if I tried making a layout with this same kind of style? I would appreciate if you let me know whether or not that is okay with you. I wouldn’t worry too much though, I don’t think I have the mad ninja skills to pull this off. :) xox.

  4. High school was vicious! I don’t think I’ve had any (if not a few) dreams about it. It was more of a social thing for me anyway. :P

  5. High school has more of an everlasting effect on one than one can imagine. I still dream of high school, of my badminton days and of when I was able to sit in class, and just write notes and such. Funny part is that I still dream of Junior High than high school.

  6. I went to 4 high schools in 3 different countries. So, I really can’t retain that much memories about all of them anymore – just snapshots of here and there. I fully stopped thinking about it after going to college. And now that I’m out of college, I still don’t really reminisce about any type of school anymore. Hahaha. Strange. Maybe I just don’t like school?

  7. We cannot actually control what we will dream each time we sleep.

Well, I am glad the high school dreams aren’t so nightmare.

Unlike my boyfriend, he traumatized about his dad’s death, 3 years already passed. But once in a month or so, he always gets an extremely nightmare: his relatives / loved ones, died. Once he had a continuing this nightmare. Uh, isnt it worse?

    Soo..

Just relax about your HS dreams, it’s not that bad dream, is it? :)

  8. Reading your blog is starting to freak me out. Mainly because, more and more you have begun to sound just like my fiance. You guys like the same things, program in Java and have the same types of nightmares and are both always late.

    Weeeeirdeded.

Maybe you both need to just concentrate on being on-time more often ;-) lol just kiddin.
