The short version: Bryan and I had lots of fun and now we’re engaged.

–edit: and pictures! –/edit–

Now the long version

Saturday 10/4/08

Today we arrived at the Boardwalk Villas for our 14th trip to Walk Disney World. We checked in, our room wasn’t ready yet, but my parents’ room was. Or so we thought. We got to the room and a… there was stuff in there and it wasn’t ours. Someone screwed up. They gave my parents a new room.

We at “breakfast” at Spoodles. As always, a perfect meal. After dropping our stuff off in my parents’ room, Bryan and I headed to EPCOT.

The new Spaceship Earth certainly sounds and looks better, but they did away with all the future scenes in the end and added in an interactive thing on the car screens. I liked the old version better. We went on Mission Space because the standby line was only a ten minute wait. Bryan had much fun pressing all the buttons he could.

We saw Mary Poppins and Belle and the Beast on our way to Morocco. We ate dinner there. I don’t think I’ve eaten there since I was young enough to order from the kid’s menu. The food was really good. Beef with couscous, raisins, almonds, egg and yum, onions. I saved half for breakfast tomorrow.

We came back to the room, unpacked, watched some of illuminations from the balcony and currently, we’re watching Farscape :P

Sunday 10/5/08

I woke up this morning at 7:30, but decided that was ridiculous and went back to sleep until 8:45. I ate my leftovers and Bryan was still sleeping, so I went downstairs and walked around for a while. When I got back up, Bryan was up and we left for the Animal Kingdom.

We were really lucky with the buses. Going there we only waited a couple minutes and coming back the bus was sitting there about to leave.

We got fastpasses for Expedition Everest which is the most amazing ride in all of Disney World. You speed backwards through the dark. It was pretty great.

We ate lunch with my parents at Yak and Yettie. My mom and I shared an appetizer and a salad. It was still too much food.

We had our picture taken with about a dozen characters and went on Dinosaur. Then we had to head back to the hotel for dinner with Kattie, Rachael and Amber. *waves at them*

Yay, I finally met online friends :D We ate at Spoodles. Another yummy meal :D I did pretty well with the entrée, I only ate half, but the dessert got me. I had the flan. That was some really dense flan.

Bryan and I went back to the room and hung out for a bit. I went outside to watch the fireworks while Bryan showered. He came out a joined me. He asked, “you know what’s prettier than fireworks?” I said, “you?” He said I was prettier than the fireworks. Then he asked me what else was prettier than fireworks. He said, “rings.” And showed me the pretty ring he got me and asked me to marry him :D

Unfortunately the ring’s too big, so I said no. j/k. The ring is too big though, so we’ll have to get it resized when we get home. Either my finger is smaller than a 5 ½, which I doubt, or they sent him the wrong size.

Monday 10/6/08

We started off the day at MGM Hollywood Studios. The Indians Jones stunt show was starting just as we got there, so we did that first. We had lunch with my parents at Prime Time where I told them Bryan and I are officially engaged. My mommy cried. Then I cried when I saw how much they downsized the s’mores. You used to be able to split that among three people. Pathetic. I split it with my mom and as a result, it was only about the same amount as when I make s’mores at home. After my mom and I split a teeny sandwich, which we also thought would be bigger, to make room for the s’mores. I was hungry and sad after :( And I felt kinda crappy all day and that plus my headache from the rain added to it. Not fun.

We still managed to get out pictures taken with several different characters and hit a few rides before it started raining too bad. The new Toy Story Midway Mania was pretty good, once we finally got on. The darn thing broke down after we were waiting like half an hour. We ended up waiting for over an hour I think it was. We saw it closed later on too. Guess there’s still a few kinks to be worked out.

We went on the Backlot Tour, probably for the last time since it will be closing soon.

We couldn’t get into Sci-Fi for dinner, so we ate at the Brown Derby. Pretty good meal. I had the stir fry and was quite yummy. Coulda been more tofu in there, but otherwise it was good.

We went over to the Magic Kingdom for some fireworks and extra magic hours. I’ve never done the nighttime hours before. I gotta say, it’s pretty great. We didn’t wait more than ten minutes for anything. I finally got to go on the new Pooh ride, saw the newly refurbished Haunted Mansion which I must say looks fantastic. The Carousel of Progress wasn’t looking bad either, considering it was falling apart on our last trip. We did Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain, two that usually get skipped. Oh and Buzz Lightyear before the fireworks. That was a bit of a disappointment after Midway Mania, but I got a higher score than Bryan, so it was worth it. It was a pretty productive evening.

Tuesday 10/7/08

Back to the Magic Kingdom today. First we ate lunch at the Yacht Club, the Captain’s something or other. I had the tomato and mozzarella sandwich and it was YUMMY!

We didn’t do much in the Magic Kingdom besides getting pictures taken with some characters. We went on Pirates which is now more like Pirate: Jack Sparrow. We also saw the new Monsters Inc Laugh Factory thing. We thought it was just going to be cartoons telling jokes, but it was really pretty great. It’s all interactive and pretty funny. I was impressed.

Then Bryan and I spent 20 minutes waiting for each other at different bathrooms. No more splitting up.

We ate dinner at the Yachtsmen’s Steakhouse. Bryan really loved his salmon and the bread and steak were as amazing as always. We had dessert at Beaches and Cream which was OMG. If there was a place like that by us, I’d be fat. Three scoops my ass. I shared with my mom and it was more than enough. Vanilla ice cream, fudge, oreos, whipped cream and a cherry on top of a brownie. :P

We went over to Downtown Disney after for a little shopping. We didn’t stay long though, my tummy was angry about dessert.

Wednesday 10/8/08

Bryan and I ate at Spoodles for breakfast and then went to buy tickets for Typhoon Lagoon. My daddy didn’t have his DVC membership card, so we didn’t get the discount :( I don’t think it was much anyway though.

Typhoon Lagoon was pretty fun. Something new to me :) We did pretty much everything in the park. I put on lots of sunscreen, waterproof, long lasting sunscreen, but my shoulders burned anyway :( ‘Course my face, where I was wearing wimpy stuff, that was fine.

We had dinner at some new Italian place in the Swan and dessert at The Fountain. Both very good.

Thursday 10/9/08

We went back to EPCOT to visit the rides we missed on Saturday and get pictures with Snow White, Mulan, and Jasmine and Aladin. We saw Genie later too, but he had to go away :(

We ate dinner at Sci-Fi at Hollywood Studios. I got a fancy drink that came with a glowing cube.

Then we did Muppets and Star Tours. I bought a cute shirt.

I got ice cream at the boardwalk :D

Friday 10/10/08

We went back to Hollywood Studios today to meet Prince Caspian and to ride the Rockin’ Rollercoaster. We got fastpasses and went over to Prime Time again for lunch. I had the same as last time, but I didn’t share with my mom, so I was actually full after.

After RR, we went back to EPCOT for our quest for Genie. Not only did we find him, we had our pictures taken with Mushu and Alice. We also got fastpasses for Test Track at 7:55.

We did Nemo, The Land, and The American Adventure while we waited. We also went in search of smoothies.

We ate with my parents in The Land and headed over to Norway for dessert when it started pouring out of nowhere. We ducked into a stand at Mexico and bought some $8 ponchos.

I finally tried the famous school bread at the Norway bakery. It wasn’t the best dessert ever, but it was pretty yummy.

It stopped raining in time for Test Track. Even though we had fastpasses, we still had to wait like 15 minutes. I think all the people who had fastpasses for when it was raining decided to wait until then to go on. Can’t really blame them considering a good portion of the ride is outside.

By the time we got out, it was time to stake out a spot for illuminations. We found a fairly good one over by Mexico.

Getting out of the park after Illuminations was interesting. EPCOT had extra magic hours tonight, but it seemed like everyone in the park was fleeing towards the front exit. Unfortunately, our hotel is at the back exit on the other side of the park. But we finally made it out and back to the hotel.

Saturday 10/11/08

For our final day here at Disney, we went back to the Animal Kingdom. We fastpassed Everest again and Kilimanjaro too. The Safari was actually pretty good this time. The CM was really good.

We also had our picture taken with a bunch of characters we didn’t have before. We would have gotten two more, but we just missed them, twice.

We ate lunch at Yak and Yettie again, dinner once more at Spoodles and back again to Beaches and Cream for dessert. :D I think my tummy’s going to explode!
