Work, still crazy. The customer for our GUI sent a nasty email yesterday that led to a lecture about preventing something I couldn’t really prevent. :-/ So I was pretty cranky, especially since I thought I was going to miss lunch because of this. I was super hungry and really looking forward to the dessert. I’m extra cranky lately when I’m hungry and I’m pretty much always hungry. I already eat a lot, and I eat frequently. Protein, fiber, fat, doesn’t matter.

The only thing that I’ve found that keeps me full in the morning is a bagel and hummus. Bagels, even more so than cookies, are a sometimes food. You’d think oatmeal with an apple and peanut butter would be at least as filling, if not more. Nope, My body prefers the simple carbs.

Which brings me to Friday’s. I didn’t miss Josh’s birthday lunch yeterday, yip! Maryam and I shared a three course meal, ending with their super fudgey brownie *drools* along with the cheesecake Bogdan bought *more drool*. I probably ate about 2000 calories, but I was full until bedtime.

So things were looking up after the brownie. Had a few hilarious meetings. Underscores, ha ha ha. Then I came home and found a notice from the homeowners association saying we didn’t pay our monthly fee when in fact, my payment cleared two weeks ago. I contacted Bank of America and I heard back from them within an hour :O asking for their contact information. They’re looking into it. :)

Bleh, just got a call from work. They’re installing stuff in production and my Java program has been core dumping and taking up all the space on the file system so they couldn’t install the new stuff :( Great, now I’m gonna be spending the next three weeks trying to figure out why the stupid thing is core dumping. It’s probably a load thing but I can barely simulate one event, never mind thousands. This is gonna be such a pain in the ass.

I hate when I join a bridge and someone asks how I’m doing. Well, I was fine until I got a call that my program was barfing all over the place.

Happy thoughts. OK, um, going to change my name on my passport today (not at the rate we’re going) even though my mom keeps coming up with excuse after excuse for why she doesn’t want to go to Italy. Anyone wanna come? Bryan can’t go because he’s out of vacation days, and well, he doesn’t want to. I’ll buy you gelato! Yeah, that’ll make up for the $1000 to fly there.

  1. I’LL GO TO ITALY WITH YOU!!! Haha. Gelato was my favorite food there!!! Why doesn’t your mom want you to go to Italy?

Anyway, sorry to hear about all the work stuff and the Bank of America thing. I hope that gets sorted out!!! Hmm, I don’t know what you mean about joining a bridge, though, what’s that? But I understood what you meant about how someone asks you how you’re doing. It’s weird for me too, especially during stressful times at work. =/

    1. seriously, you wanna come, you’re welcome to join. My mom’s all, this hurts, that hurts, what if the food doesn’t agree with my stomach. Even if my parents do go, I think they are, they’re not going to be able to walk around all day.

bridge = conference call. why it’s called a bridge, I do not know.

  2. I’d love to go to Italy to get the “real” gelato, but I’m fine with the gelato parlours they have here. :P I hope you find someone to accompany you, though. I like the idea of travelling but I’d rather go with someone.

Good luck sorting out the problem with the Java program. D:

I tend to get pissy when it’s night time. I’m totally not a night person… I’m totally a morning person. When I’m hungry I tend to go quiet, I think. :3

  3. Ooooh Italy … What part are you going to? No worries if you don’t change your name on your passport, just bring a copy of your marriage license. I’ve done that and had no problems. You’ll notice, not sure if you’ve got to italy or not before, but customs in the US is sooo much more organized. Oh, and the whole idea of a line in some parts of italy, just does not exist.

Sucks about work — but alas, shit happens, right? LOL Hopefully you figure it out soon.

    1. :O So I spent $110 for nothing? ah well.

We’re gonna be visiting my cousin in Naples, but we’ll probably stay in Rome.

  4. AAA!! Sounds stressful! I get cranky when I’m hungry too, so your not the only one!!! HAHA! Sounds like you had a blast! I love being full! Good luck with sorting the Java program!

  5. Grrr, that would have made me cranky too.. :/

Gelato, on the other hand, sounds pretty good! :) BTW, I posted another vlog. :)
