Yesterday was the last day. I had pretty much given up on most things on my list. As I said before, a lot of them are no longer relevant. There were two things I really wanted to do though: go see Akua and eat at Serendipity 3. I did both yesterday.
I took the train into the city and met Akua for lunch. The tiny restaurant had an hour long wait which I didn’t find all that surprising. I tried to make reservations, but couldn’t get. So we put our names down and came back an hour later.
We hadn’t seen each other since we were 15. We chatted about all sorts of stuff. She doesn’t have a facebook account, so I filled her in on what our mutual acquaintances have been up to. Yeah, if you went to MS/HS with us, we probably talked about you. Though she would be like, what’s so and so doing now and I’m like, pfft, I don’t know, I don’t memorize these peoples’ profiles. I know who got married, but not much else.
The food was better than I expected after reading reviews online. Certainly overpriced, but not insane or anything. The frozen hot chocolate was pretty awesome. Especially on a day like yesterday.
Definitely something we shouldn’t wait another decade to do again.

I’ve always wanted to go there!! We should def. do something like that soon..:D
I kept mentioning you and she’s like, who the hell is Carolyn??? lol
Hi Lissy! Nice to meet you! :)
Your archive list is amazing! I went to 1996 and you were in 6th grade!! :O
Wow talk about nostalgia. ^__^
Your friend will probably get a facebook account sometime soon. :3…i mean…who can resist facebook..>____<
Frozen hot chocolate sounds yummy! :9
Awww! That’s sweet that you got to catch up!!! :) Aww. I hope to catch up with one of my friends in the future. I’m 15 atm so haha. xD
Glad you got to do what you wanted to do!
It’s alright that you gave up a lot of things on the list – the most important, number one thing is that you tried! I failed my monthly goals last month but I don’t really care much, I gave it all I had and I know one day I’ll get around to trying them again.
I’m glad you could catch up with your friend! My best friend and I only see each other once a year or something. She always tells me about anything interesting that comes up on Facebook, haha. Usually we find that the people who were called “high school sweethearts” and were all crazy over each other have different partners now. :P
Sometimes I think you have to just throw the list to the side. I try and block everything out in a certain way and then I sometimes just have to forget about the lists, the goals, and the to-do’s for a bit and just take a break from it all. Frozen hot chocolate? That sounds absolutely delectable!
