Yeah, so the hurricane killed most of my weekend plans :-/ No Glee movie, no dinner with Bryan’s family. The engagement party is still a go, for now anyways, but we gotta rush home right after :(
Speaking of natural disasters, the earthquake the other day was pretty cool. For those of you living under a rock, the East Coast had it’s very own mini quake earlier in the week. Felt as far North as Canada I hear. I was extremely confused when my office started shaking. Then even more so when it was swaying. I thought I was dizzy or something until I saw my lights swaying and I thought, well that’s not probably in my head. I went out into the hall where everyone else was gathered. A lot of people ran outside. The rest of us debated about it for so long, it seemed kinda silly to bother. Probably the most exciting thing to happen at work.
We’re going to the supermarket in a bit to pick at the leftovers. I’m hoping people were mostly buying pop-tarts and water and left some good stuff. I mean, they couldn’t have bought ALL the food … could they?
I went and got gas earlier. I’ve never seen the gas station so crowded before. The guy filled up my tank way too much too. I have a 10 gallon tank, it was a little less than half full, somehow he got around 7 gallons in there? I think not.
Otherwise I’ve been preparing by downloading books for my kindle. Any suggestions?
I leave you with my observations on Pinterest trends:
- Women really like posting pictures of other women they will never look like for “inspiration.” I think they just like looking at pretty women.
- This is the best wedding planning tool ever.
- We like junk food and sweet potatoes a lot.
- Rainbow cakes are hugely popular.
- There must be many international folk because I’ve never seen so many nutella recipes.

LOL, yeah, when I felt the only earthquake I’ve ever felt here, I felt dizzy, like I was getting sick… Then I realized afterwards that it must have been an earthquake. LOL.
Sorry that the hurricane ruined your weekend plans though. :( Stay safe!!
Eww, sweet potatoes… I’m not a fan of it, haha.
As for books, uh, I think I gave you some suggestions a long time ago. :P I don’t think I have any other new ones, LOL.
The only “earthquake” we ever had over here was due to a gas bubble. Apparently we have some sort of gas field nearby, but I didn’t even feel it. i think i would be really disoriented if i ever experienced an earthquake =P Too bad the hurricane is killing all your plans =( I hate it when the weather forces you to adjust your plans, blah.
As for Pinterest, I’d have to say you’re absolutely right XD Although the only pictures I have of women on mine is because of the hair styles and makeup trends I like =P
I heard about the hurricane and earthquakes! I’ve never actually been awake to feel an earthquake before but I can imagine its pretty scary. :(
Sorry about the weather ruining your plans! I hate it when you have to cancel important things because of the weather. It sucks.
Aw, sorry about the weather wrecking your plans. I want to see the new Glee movie! It looks great. Plus Glee = Awesome!! I don’t think I would like to be stuck in an earthquake. I keep thinking about the one that Christchurch, New Zealand had last year and it scares me to death. AH!! I’m glad everything was okay for you though :D
Oh man Nutella! I had a big spoon of that the other day so… I’ll pass… XD
I haven’t been on Pinterest but it looks interesting. The concept just reminds me too much of WeHeartIt and Tumblr and similar things, basically a collection of liked stuff. I like the idea of using it as a wedding planner though. ;)
I heard about the shakes. I hope everything remains alright there. :)
