OK, first of all, I always have to wait like 30+ minutes. And to keep on schedule, because I waited so long, they look at me for 10 minutes and then make me schedule another appointment to come back so they can finish. WTF?
I made an appointment for a cleaning. All the did was take X-Rays which they were not supposed to do. I asked the lady if my insurance covers it since I just had them done 6 months ago. She told me yes. I checked when I got back to my office … of course, they don’t.
So then I waited another 20 minutes and the dentist comes in, looks at me for five minutes. Tells me I need to come back for the cleaning and to fix my filling on the top because it’s discolored. It looks fine to me, whatever. And he tells me I need to see an implantologist and an orthodontist about my implant. … TOMORROW! I looked at him like he was crazy and he’s like, oh, too hard? Yes, too hard! Oh sure, I’ll just quit my job and run around hunting dentists all day.
I get back to my office and try to find an implantologist to give my dentist a report on my implant.
I call up my insurance company because “implantologist” is not an option on their drop down menu. After talking to a bot for 15 minutes trying to get what I want, I finally shout over to Maryam, “omg, this thing is so annoying, I just want to talk to a human being!” And what do you know, that got the computer to switch me over to a real person. The real person informed me that there was no such thing as an implantologist and I have to see an oral surgeon. Okie dokie.
I call up three. It’s like Goldilocks. The first says they only have Tuesday appointments. The second says, wtf, we don’t do that. Finally, I call up the dude who actually did my implant. They’re like, your dentist wants what??? You haven’t been here since 2005. But they’re letting me come in next month anyway. ‘Course I have to drive all the way up by my parents…
I didn’t call the orthodontist, I sent an email. I’m done calling people. I can tell you this much, I am NOT getting braces again. The only reason I’m going is so my dentist stops bugging me about it and it’s free. I don’t even think they can do anything. He says the bite by my implant is bad, but, how the frell can they fix that without messing with the implant? And quite honestly, I don’t know what he’s talking about. It looks fine to me. I hope this dude tells my dentist that fixing anything would be a waste of my time and money. I doubt he’ll say that since I’m sure he wants my time and money, but we’ll see.
Gah, why can’t there be someone else only 10 minutes from my work! My old dentist never made me jump through hoops to get my teeth cleaned. And he was kinda cute too :(

Yeah, sorry to hear about all of that… =/ I REALLY do know how chaotic things can be, especially with doctor appointments and all… =/ The downside of working full-time… =( LOL.
Wow, that’s realy weird that they made you reschedule when they were the ones that were late. I’ve never had that happening to me, even if they were late.
I had braces for a while. Absolutely hated it. And a few years after that I went to the dentist and she said ” your upper jaw looks nice (that where I had the braces) but there’s a mess in your lower jaw. You should get braces”. I looked at her like she was a moron and then I think I said something along the line of “hell no!”. I autally think I cussed at her for the suggestion. I’m evil… But that’s how much I hated my braces.
You definitely need a new dentist.
I had braces for a year and a half I think. I really hated it. And even after going through the braces and the retainers, my teeth have still somewhat shifted back. It’s a real pain in the ass.
$4,000+ for barely anything.

Oh, and the RSVP plugin works great. I changed some of the values, just because I like my one sentence words to be uppercase. lol.

That sounds like such a huge hassle! They shouldn’t make you reschedule a thing because THEY were off-schedule. That’s ridiculous.
