I went to the orthodontist yesterday. Even though I’m not going back to the dentist, I’d have felt bad if I canceled on such short notice. He looked at my teeth and told me I did indeed have an open bite, but I’d be crazy to get it fixed. They would have to first remove the implant, move the teeth and then put a new implant in. He said it would be a lot of money and a huge pain to fix something that’s not causing me any problems, especially after all the crap I’ve gone through already. He highly recommended that I leave it alone. I completely agreed. You all know I had no intention of doing anything anyway.

As for the testing environment issue, it turns out it was completely 100% NOT my fault. Someone gave away my weblogic instance to the new domain without checking to see if anyone was using it. No one bothered to say, oh hey, this is pointing to ELISSA, maybe I should see who that is. No, no, they just did it. I was pulling out my hair wondering wtf was going on for three days because of this. Did anyone say sorry? No. They said, Elissa … move. Nice.

  1. Wow. That’s the first time I’ve ever heard an orthodontist suggest something like this. Their usually urging anyone to get their problems fixed, because they want their money, yanno? Well, mine did at least. I had a really bad open bite, which resulted in getting jaw surgery (after they suggested), so I went through all that back in 2003. It was a pain, but was so worth it. The only thing that bothers me, is how it left me with a gummy smile, which I hope to get fixed in the future, after I get other expenses paid for. That could be long down the road though.
