I finished my training. :O Well, sort of. I finished what’s available. Now I just have to check the annoying site daily to see if the last class suddenly appears.
I also finished the first part of my socket training assignment thingy. The hardest part was figuring out how to run the darn thing and getting my classpath right. You’d think copy + paste would be a good strategy here. Turns out, not so much.
But the best news of all is that Bryan got a raise! Woo hoo! Boy, I’ll be lucky if I get a 2% raise next year, he got a whopping 12! In this crappy economy, can you believe it? Of course I had to remind him I’m still far richer and more fabulous than him ;) I shouldn’t say stuff like that, I’ll jinx myself.
I also got around to updating the comments page to take advantage of 2.7’s threaded comments feature. It’s actually more of a pain to customize now, but, eh, it looks better than before.
Ah, good ole training… glad you finished most of it, why would the last class not show up?
Oooh, getting a raise is ALWAYS great!! I’m still at the same thing that I am making right now, but I’m pretty content because it satisfies my needs right now. It’s a cause for celebration though!

Yeah, I noticed that threaded comments feature too, but don’t use it since I have a plugin for them, which I know how to customise and am used to, so I figure there’s not much point in my switching just for the sake of it!

I haven’t gotten around to configuring my comments with the whole threaded feature. I was going to after installing 2.7, but installing 2.7 was already such a pain. For some reason I had to delete the auto install that I was using to upgrade each version from my host. I don’t know. It’s working fine now, and that’s all that matters.
