This past weekend we went into the city for Cara’s birthday party. We had some yummy pizza and then we were off to a bar for drinks! After 21 you’re not allowed an alcohol free birthday. I actually had a pretty good time. I didn’t think it’d be so much fun, since I figured it’d just be a bunch of Cara’s friends that I didn’t know, but was good time.

Rachie and I had a little adventure getting home. At 10:00 they change the bus gate to one upstairs, but when we asked for the gate, no one bothered to tell us that. Nice! Then once we were upstairs and the 165 did come, it wasn’t right right 165. The poor girls in front of us also learned that the 165 no longer goes to Westwood after 10pm… even though all the signs say it does and they bought tickets for Westwood. Gotta love NJ transit. I felt bad for them, their parents were giving them a hard time, asking why they didn’t check the schedule … but they did. The damn schedule lies!!! Oh and a crazy man said he liked my hat.

Sunday was Rachie’s Christmas dinner party at her place. Rachie made delicious food that she put far too much effort into. We played Taboo after dinner, our team won because we’re awesome like that. I had to leave early since, ya know, I had work Monday :( I didn’t get to see Andrew wich sucks because I haven’t seen him in forever! I better get to see him while I’m home next week.

Monday Eddie and I had the longest meeting ever with Roy. Roy told me I should be reading about the application I’ll be working on while I’m on vacation. Yeeeeah. He asked me what I was going to be doing while I’m off. I said wedding dress shopping. Hsiu-Mei starting cracking up. … I guess you had to be there.

I was off today. Yay! I spent the day cooking and cleaning like a good 50’s house wife. I made the filling for the Zucchini Boats I’m bringing to my parents’ tomorrow and gingerbread cookies. I love the hand blender I got. That thing’s awesome.

That’s all for now. Merry Christmas!

  1. maybe your adventure was intentional? maybe it was like some movie where you’re supposed to get lost or have a hectic time so that you learn the true meaning of christmas? anyway, enjoy being 21+ grrr….*jealous* – happy holidays!

  2. Ahahah, yeah, I had an alcohol-free birthday for my 22nd birthday, and it’ll probably be the same for my 23rd, and umm, forever? LOL. Glad you had a great time, though!

Geez, that whole bus thing sounded confusing… LOL.

Wow, wedding dress shopping? Really? Good luck with that then!!! Hmm, your wedding’s in 2010… HMM… What if we go to New York then?! =P

Ahaha about cooking and cleaning. I don’t cook too much, but I know how it’s like cleaning.
