Last week at work was pretty terrible. There were all sorts of problems in UAT that needed to be fixed, well, months ago, so I only had hours and then the testers had to test and, it was just a mess. That’s all over and everyone seems a lot more calm now. Weblogic finally seems quiet as well. Ah, I can breathe! Though I still have plenty to do.
Saturday I went shopping with my mom so she could find a dress for the wedding. She bought something, but it’s a little big. She couldn’t order a smaller size, but she may be able to find one in the city. We went to Best Buy and bought some movies. Watched Stranger Than Fiction. Cute movie. Bought some Ben and Jerry’s low fat frozen yogurt and it was absolutely horrible. Had to buy a replacement ice cream on Sunday.
Also cooked dinner for my parents on Sunday. It, um, didn’t go so well. I made this, but I used a little extra quinoa because there was only a teeny bit left in the box, but I don’t think I added enough extra chicken broth. As a result: crunchy quinoa. My dad also convinced me to add extra cream cheese. Probably wasn’t the best idea. Ah well, live and learn. The veggies came out yummy though.
Monday I took a much needed day off from work. Rachie and I went out to lunch, then had our nails done. After, we shopped. I tried on this really pretty dress at Nordstom that looked really good on me. $238. I liked it, but only $138 worth. And that’s what I paid today when I bought it on ebay.
I also bought my laptop on Monday, finally! Only took me how many months? I did save some money and I get the free Windows 7 upgrade now, so it was worth the wait. Plus, I couldn’t buy it until I paid last month’s credit card bill. Now I get to pick out a pretty new case. I was just going to get another laptrap, but they don’t make it for 16″ laptops :(

I’m sorry that work was terrible last week. I am glad that it seems to be calmer now, at least. That dress is so awesome! I love it! You are so awesome for finding it cheaper. That is something I would do. Go us! Isn’t the internet wonderful? Yay for new laptops! I’m a desktop person myself but hooray for new gadgets! I can’t wait to see what case you pick out! I’m such a dork for things like that.

Wow! That really is a nice dress!!! Hehe, not sure if it’d look good on me… I don’t look good in a lot of stuff that are cute. Hehe. But wow, expensive dress!!! Haha, I’m a cheapskate… =P
Hmm, didn’t they start the free Windows 7 upgrade since like June or something? That’s what my sister told me. She bought her laptop in July, and she’s able to upgrade for free too.

I have a 16″ laptop too…. it’s SUCH a pain trying to find a case for it!! I didn’t know there was a Windows 7 even coming out!! You’ll have to keep us updated and let us know if it’s better than Vista.
My sister loves Windows 7. She’s using the Released Candidate for it, so that it’ll be easier for her to upgrade once she can upgrade. I’m pretty sure it’s A LOT better than Vista, so that makes me bummed out that I can’t use it. =( LOL.
