This year’s picnic was definitely the best by far. Especially because our team won the olympics :D The food was crazy good, only having three games worked out pretty well and I even got to go swimming for a little while. David and I sang our two songs … and we probably should have stopped there, lol. The other songs didn’t go as well I thought. Especially Seasons of Love. That was a big fail on my part. I think no one was listening much by then though.
Yesterday I brought my car in to finally get the loudness fixed. Turns out I need new wheel bearings which happen to be a bit on the expensive side :-/ What ya gonna do.
Bryan and I watched The Shawshank Redemption while we waiting for my car and his package. He couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen it before. Very good movie.
Later, we went to Cheryl’s birthday party. Much fun and much food as usual :) I ate a lot this week so I tried my best to control myself. I think I did pretty well, especially considering Cheryl makes one crazy good cookie. There were a lot of people there, like a lot of people. Once some of them cleared out we were finally able to play a game that lasted more than 30 seconds :P Bryan’s party’s next week on Cheryl’s actual bday.
Today I went to my parents’ to collect my laptop :D It’s so shiny and pretty and awesomeness! I also gt the invitations for the wedding and my dress for Bryan’s brother’s wedding that I ordered on ebay. The dress, um, it’s definitely a knock-off, which I was expecting. What I wasn’t expecting was the big hole on the top of the dress and the teeny little ones along the bottom. I could understand if I only spent like $20, but for $130, I expect better. I’m taking it to the tailor tomorrow to see how much it would cost to fix and then see if the seller will pay it. She seems like a reasonable person.
My laptop is even more awesome than I expected though. I named him Lappy II. I haven’t tested the cd drive yet, but everything else seems to be working perfectly. This screen is amazing and the sound quality is just exponentially better than my old laptop. Just need to get a case for it now.

Hmm, didn’t hear about the car problem until now, but glad that you’ve gotten it fixed! Sorry that it was a bit expensive, though… =( Maintaining a car can be really expensive… =(

LOL, I hope I’m not offending you, but I’m not totally surprised about the dress from Ebay. That’s why I’m skeptical about getting things from Ebay. But I hope that you’ll be able to get it fixed and I hope that the seller will be willing to pay for it!!
Man, that’s awesome about your laptop! Yeah, I like the sound quality on my laptop too, but the screen… =/ Well, it was good before, but for the past couple of months, it starts to flicker when I move it. It does it randomly too. So yeah, we’ll see about that. But I’m glad you love your new laptop!! =)
For $130 I was expecting a better quality knockoff. The seller had good ratings. No one else complained that their item came damaged.

I absolutely love the Shawshank Redemption. I saw it only recently as well. My husband couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen it either! Now I want to go and watch it again!

No, they called before the movie ended to tell me the car was done, but we had to wait for bryan’s package.
but that was just for them to figure out what was wrong. they ordered the parts and I’m bringing it back on saturday
