I’m having a really hard time finding furniture. Basically everything I’ve seen falls into one of four categories:
-things I love that are not practical
-things I love that are practical, but way too expensive
-things that are practical, but also boring and/or ugly
-things that are cheap, but not an improvement over what we have
So I haven’t purchased anything.
Work has been better. I finally finished my wsdl thing no thanks to Ruben. I was stuck for about a week with an error that loosely translated to “something bad happened somewhere.” Finally I googled something that led me to the one person in the whole world that had the same problem. He found the solution! I needed to add files to my classpath … What files??? That led to more googling that led to the reason it wasn’t working. After that my fix pretty much just involved dumb luck and well, obviously my pure genius. Right.
Saw Inception last week. It was awesome! I want to see it again!
Also went to Rachie’s bday party at a hibachi place. Bryan has some video on Facebook of that. She got some really yummy cupcakes from Mr Cupcake. They were moist and delicious and I can’t stop thinking about them. Must go back there next time I’m home.
Hahaha, great, furniture… Don’t even remind me. =/ LOL.
Glad to hear that work’s been better! LOL, Googling… Is your best friend… Although I hated it at first(for my job), I’ve been doing it for awhile now, and it’s gotten better rather than asking a friend, who may be busy at the time. Haha.
Haha. The eternal furniture problem. That’s exactly my thinking when I’m wandering around a store “looking for something to need”. That’s what I call the ritual anyway.. except you probably actually need furniture. lol. Congrats on the new house again! The current furnishings look great from what I saw.
I also saw Inception. Freaking awesome. I agree. It was perfect.. but I could see a lot of people not liking it because I think you have to be of a somewhat sci fi state of mind. I heard people were confused..
It depends also, if you’re looking to buy something that is quality and will last for ever or if you’re looking for something more tendy but is still comfortable. I kinda like a little of both but I recently discovered an IKEA by my boyfriends house and ugh i spend too much there.
I’m so frugal with things that I know exactly how you feel!!!! Have you tried Ikea or Craigslist? That’s where we’ve gottn most of our stuff.
I’ve heard such good things about Inception. I am going to have to wait till it comes out on DVD, but when it does, you bet I will be seeing it!
