I got my first paycheck yesterday :D It’s weird, making that much money for like doing nothing. Though next week we start our assignments, so we shall be doing more, in theory. A bunch of us got put on testing. Bleh. It’s like they said, hmm, they’re flexible and we don’t have anything better to do, oh, they can do testing. Though it’ll probably be less work than everyone else and we’ll have more time for training, which I guess is a bright side. Eh, whatever, we’ll make testing fun. Oh yes.

4th of July, Bryan and I bought a dining room set and put it together. It was only $104, but it looks pretty nice. Certainly makes the apartment look more homey. This place is a total mess though. I’m going to be spending much of the day tomorrow cleaning. We also have to put together my dresser which at the moment is in pieces on our bedroom floor.

Summary of firsts for this week: first paycheck, first holiday off, first time we baked chicken, first time I ironed clothes, first time I used the microwave at work, um … first time I went out for drinks with coworkers, though I didn’t drink anything besides water. Yup.

  1. It’s nice to earn some extra cash. Do you get paid weekly? Bi-weekly? Your job sounds pretty nice. A lot better, compared to retail.
