Inspired by The Wifey, I attempted to curl my hair with a sock bun. The five attempts before this were even worse believe it or not. I didn’t expect this to turn out well.
And it didn’t. My hair was completely straight.
Went to Woofstock Saturday. They always have special events in the park down the street and yesterday was one for the dogs of the town. They looked like they were having fun. I don’t know if Buffy would have enjoyed herself. Too many little dogs. Her frenemy wasn’t out on our walk Sunday. I had a treat with me just in case.
Made dinner for my parents: Creamy Pumpkin With Millet, but with quinoa instead of millet because the supermarket didn’t have millet. It was good, but a little on the bland side, even after adding a little extra of the spices.
Went out to lunch Monday to celebrate Maryam and Manjula’s brithdays. Turns out it was Guanjone’s birthday a little while ago too.
Been having dreams about school again. A lot about elementary school. The dream I had a few night ago I think was about college but my teacher/professor was from high school. I was failing English because I had gotten an unfair grade on my paper and didn’t study as much as I should have for the final. I was really upset because it would have destroyed my GPA, even if i negotiated up to a C.
The second dream was, big surprise, about the first day going back to high school. It wasn’t so bad though. I had a new binder and I was only a couple minutes late. I figured out that my first class was a study hall where we got to watch movies on a big screen in the gym. Hey, if I have to dream about high school. Even this one, I was relieved when I woke up and realized I graduated a while ago.
Oh poop… I wish the sock bun worked for you!! When you curl your hair, do they just fall out too?
I hate school dreams! I haven’t had one of those in years though, luckily — i guess once I figured out what they were all about. It is a relief to wake up knowing it was all just a dream though :)
If I use a curling iron, the curls stay for about 5 minutes. When she used hot curlers for the wedding and industrial strength hairspray, the curls stayed most of the day.
I used to braid my hair and sleep in it over night and my hair would be wavy the next day. I think I just did a terrible job with the bun. It wasn’t at all wavy when I took it out. I’ll practice more. I’ll try some hair gel too.
My hair is naturally curly and I always try to brush it out straighter. I guess you always want what you can’t have. :P
I have dreams about high school sometimes but they are usually nightmares. I didn’t have the best experience.
Haha, I’ve had dreams about school, or mainly, people from school, a lot too. I’m so happy I’m not in school anymore!
