My car was making funny noises again on Thursday and so I took it to the mechanic again on Friday. Completely unrelated to the knock sensor troubles I’ve been having, the car needed a new wheel bearing. $400. To fix the engine noise that triggering the knock sensor would be another $500.
My mom tells me, at least the car hasn’t broken down on you.
Today, I was driving to work and I notice the needle on the temperature thing going up and up very quickly. I pull over and proceed to freak the hell out ’cause I just got the fucking thing fixed and what the hell!!!!! WHY??????
Then I called my mommy, then AAA. Had the car towed. The guy was nice enough to drive me home, but I had to walk back to bring the mechanic the car keys.
On the way back from the mechanic, a bird pooped on my head.
Ugh what a horrible day, it seems. I am sorry that your car needs so much work done on it. So are you going to get it done? That’s an awful lot of money. Maybe a different mechanic could do it for less? Some of them really overcharge.

the mechanic I went to last charged me more for the wheel bearing. Yes, this is the second one I’ve had replaced. Apparently it’s a pain in the butt because they practically have to take a whole chunk of the car apart. He says the other thing is an even bigger pain to fix.
=( Sorry to hear about your day. So I’m assuming the mechanic isn’t far from your place, since you were able to walk there? I hope it won’t cost a fortune to fix your car, but I know how much it could be, my old car used to be like that.
